Visit to Forestis and celebration of the USSE Board of Directors and General Assembly

In early June the USSE visited its Portuguese partners of FORESTIS, to meet the new board of directors and have the opportunity to see the great work and all the initiatives they are carrying out in Portugal, taking into account the orientation of numerous community regulations that directly or indirectly affect or will affect forests.

During this week, the USSE Board of Directors and General Assembly were also held via videoconference, which the USSE team conducted from Portugal.

At the General Assembly, the partners began to prepare for an international event in Portugal, scheduled for the fall of 2025 in Aveiro, where USSE and FORESTIS intend to invite various experts and representatives of different institutions, both regional and national and European, to discuss the issues that are currently of most concern to forest ownership in Southern Europe. USSE wants to take advantage of yet another opportunity to organize a meeting framework to debate and discuss the different challenges and challenges that forest ownership is currently facing as well as the different policies that regulate the forest sector, not only at the national level but also at the European level.
