Third MAG Meeting of the SINCERE project

The third MAG meeting of the case study of Biscay has been organized continuing with the idea of having the representation of the greatest diversity of agents involved in the recognition and payment for the ecosystem services provided by the forests of Biscay, both public and private.

In this case the meeting was of special interest since the pilot test to be carried out in Lea Artibai was presented with the intention of encouraging the management of the forests in this predominantly forest region, so that the ecosystem services of wood, water and landscape are favoured at the same time. The meeting was attended by numerous agents of the sector and by presentations of both the pilot test by the local agents involved as well as presentations of experiences in such ecosystem services by experts in the field.

The day concluded with a visit to the place where this pilot test is going to be developed so that the participants and the experts who are going to give technical assistance could know first hand the field on which they are going to act.
