USSE at Forexpo, the most important forestry and timber trade fair in southern Europe

Once again, USSE attended FOREXPO, the most important international forestry and timber trade fair in southern Europe, to learn about the latest developments and trends in forestry and logging. Forexpo is held every four years in Mimizan, in the Landes, in the heart of Europe's largest cultivated forest area (1.2 million hectares, with 34,000 direct jobs and 3.5 billion euros in turnover). There, on a 70-hectare site, 400 international exhibitors and more than 500 brands presented the latest innovations in fields ranging from forestry to logging.

Forexpo is one of the largest showcases for forestry and woodworking in Europe and therefore a great opportunity to make known the interests and concerns of our associates, to network and to keep abreast of the latest trends. In this initiative, promoted, among others, by our partners of the Syndicat des Sylviculteurs du Sud-Ouest, the USSE was accompanied by the Euskadi Timber Association, Baskegur, with which it shared a stand to welcome visitors to the fair who were interested in its activities. The objective of this important event was to represent private forest ownership in Southern Europe and to continue to create synergies between the Basque Country, Navarre and New Aquitaine.
