They will also count with the support of, FCBA, INRAE, GIP-ECOFOR, WIT, ISA, RAIZ, NEIKER-TECNALIA, Uva, and the UK Forestry Commission.

The scope of action of the new Planted Forests Network will be Europe and they will work on its regional diversity and new opportunities. Their main activities will be research and the creation of knowledge networks. They will also be focused on improving capacities and the construction of bridges through scientific cooperation between European countries and/or between forest stakeholders, among others.

The Research Network will focus its scientific studies on the genetic resources of forests, and how can them adapt to the markets demands and challenges of climate change. In that sense, the resilience and sustainable management of planted forests will also be part of the project.
