Conference on Management and New Uses of Mixed Forests

With the aim of disseminating the results of the project financed by the Basque Government and the European funds EAFRD Applicability of the processes of extraction and fragmentation of lignocellulosic materials from the sustainable forest management of the Atlantic mixed forest of the Basque Country, yesterday, which was held on 18 December 2018, was organized the Conference "Management and New Uses of Mixed Forest" in the School of Engineering of Gipuzkoa, UPV-EHU (Donostia). 

In this Conference, in addition to presenting the results of the project by the partners, a video prepared by BASOA Fundazioa was shown on the tasks developed in the project with testimonies from the participants. The two sectors cooperating in this project, the forestry sector and the biorefinery research sector, were also presented in detail by two of its experts: Eduardo Robles, researcher in the Biorefinery Processes research group (BioRP) of the UPV-EHU and Aitor Onaindia, technician of the Association of Foresters of Bizkaia and vice-president of BASOA Fundazioa.
