State of Europe's Forests and Sustainable Forest Management
- State of Europe's Forests 2015: This is a report by FOREST EUROPE which provides an intelligible and up-to-date description of the management situation of European forests, and related policies and institutions. It reveals the status/situation and guidelines/trends concerning forests and sustainable forest management in Europe, structured according to the Pan-European criteria and the indicators of sustainable forest management, and including qualitative indicators on policies and institutions for the first time. - Forests in the ECE Region. The study by UNECE and the FAO is a contribution by the UNECE region to the 11th Session of the United Nations Forum on Forests. The report examines the progress made by the forest sector in this region in compliance with the four Global Objectives on Forests, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2007. Based on its assessment, the outlook for the forest sector and the commitments made by Member States of the UNECE region, thirteen key challenges were analysed and identified for the region's forest sector.
